Grinding Gear Games’ action RPG is facing significant server overcrowding, with large amounts of players flocking to it on the day of its early access release.
Self-promo. There is a dedicated community for the game on Lemmy: [email protected]
And as usual, no activity. What’s wrong with just a gaming community? All these communities are just useless.
Lemmy should have like 50 communities. It’s actually enough to cover everything.
All specialized communities have low activity because it lacks users invested in that specific topic. And while general communities are good for overall platform growth, you will never get active users into specialized communities without starting from scratch. They don’t transfer from general communities.
What’s wrong with just a gaming community?
Try picking 5-10 game specific communities and posting all the news from those communities into general gaming one for 7 days. See the reaction and you will have your answer.
