    1. It would be the 1st time a nuke was used in war in over 75 years.

    2. It would be the 1st time a nuke was used in war in Europe.

    3. It would be the 1st time a nuke was used in war that hasn’t been declared.

    4. If greater than 25 kilotons, it would be the biggest nuke detonated in war.

    5. It would be the 3rd time a nuke was used in war.

    6. Ukraine is unlikely to surrender, say, 10 days later.

    7. Some of the fallout might go into Russian airspace and Ukrainians are probably more prepared for fallout than Russians.

    8. It will encourage more countries to become nuclear-armed, and those armed to increase arms.

Also, 2024 are election years for Biden, Putin, and Zelenskyy. Putin will win in 2024, and probably also 2030 when he’s 78, because slavish Russian people worship their Tsar. (/s)

and Russian intellectuals will defend Putin nuking Ukraine. (not quite /s)

I think they are right: Putin wants to blow up the Zaporizhia NPP, or he wants to use a tactical nuclear device in Ukraine. And I believe their approach is the best way to prevent this from happening. What do you guys think?

They want to make it clear to Russia that using a nuclear device in Ukraine means war with NATO. For that purpose they want to pass a resolution in the US Senate.
