The problem is a) the VP is largely been abscent so hasn’t really been able to develop a strong profile and b) the VP is Kamala Harris. The problem the Democrats face is not having a candidate that galvanises the same level of support as Trump. There is simply a dearth of credible candidates. Personally, I would encourage Mitt Romney to defect to the Democrats and get him stand or Jimmy Carter.
