    A pretty shitty mental health day made easier in the end with laksa, Xanax and bingeing game of thrones from the start again. Cat was very comforting today and let me snuggle into her fur a bit when I was sad. Now she’s dreaming and making little snores.

      Make sure you find some time to try face some stuff. I’m the king of “takes mental health day and proceeds to try block everything out with distractions and wonders why I still feel like shit”. Turns out you don’t face anything you don’t feel better, who knew?

        Understanding oneself is a very difficult step, self-awareness and tracing the lines of our behaviours back through our memories.

        But actually, actively doing something about changing those lines of thought, forcing a new way of thinking upon the neurons of our brains, that’s the most difficult and most rewarding step. To face ourselves head on, and force a metamorphosis into who we truly wish to be, it’s worth it.

        Also, as an aside, you seem to be a wonderful father with the right mindset You might feel concerned you don’t know what to do, but trust yourself :) you got this
