ironically, that aesthetic kinda lead to this. We have a beautifully over the top 60’s Greek build, and I found some gorgeous toggle switches at Schots so I took His Lordship to check out on the weekend. The CHONK of the flip was SO SATISFYING we are getting all them. ALLLL OF THEM.

But now the fan remotes will look poodoo.

Love me some toggle switches. When the tumble dryer that was bought when I was in nappies finally dropped its electrics out it’s bum, Dad rewired it and put a ripsnorting toggle switch on the front to flip between cool and hot. In brass! No timer of course - it predated timers. You had to hold your hand over the air outtake and judge the humidity to see if the clothes inside were cooked yet. Surprisingly accurate way of measuring. The toggle switch fit right in to the aesthetic. Idea: set the fan remotes into a wooden box thingie of appropriate design AND PUT A TOGGLE SWITCH ON TOP to operate the hole for the red light!
