I used to have that thing where minor scratches would make my skin in that area go puffy. Actually you’ve just made me realize I haven’t gotten that in yonks
Any scratch, even from my fingernails, used to do it. Then it just stopped
Edit: apparently it’s called Dermatographia, and in some people just vanishes eventually. Odd, because I’m not allergic to anything

And it could be that nothing bit then! They could have just grazed their leg slightly and it raised a welt 😂

chances are you have been bitten by a redback and dismissed it. Generally it’s just swelling and feeling seedy af
Even then, if one has a suspected bite from a redback, don’t ask Reddit 😂
